Titan Valkyries-Shining Knight by UltimeciaFFB Titan Valkyries-Shining Knight by UltimeciaFFB
You know, I enjoyed the idea of creating more Teen Titans valkyries, as I did here for the Titans of Myth contest at :iconteentitans: club.

This piece was ready 2 or 3 days ago, but painting with mouse is a pain, so ... But now she's ready.

Wikipedia time!
"She's a knight of Camelot, from 8000 bC. Ystina is knighted and dubbed the Shining Knight by Sir Galahad, just before the fall of Camelot. Unbeknownst to Galahad, Ystin is actually a girl who is in love with him. Ystin and her winged horse Vanguard confront Gloriana Tenebrae, the Sheeda-Queen, who takes them to Castle Revolving, the floating fortress of the Sheeda. Gloriana casually informs the young knight that she has stolen the sword Excalibur, one of the Seven Imperishable Treasures. Ystin breaks free, steals Excalibur, and escapes from the Castle - only to fall to earth in modern Los Angeles, some 10,000 years later."

No wings, because her winged horse already covers it. I tried to do her a bit tomboy-ish, but there wasn't really much I could change on her design without making her characteristics go away. But I'm pleased with the overall, even if she's not too "valkyrie" and more a "knight"

I also created a journal with ideas of possible Valkyries. If you want to give any thoughts or suggestion, check it out ;p

Horn hat :D

If you haven't gotten your hands on the newer Teen Titans collection, I might be able to tell you more lady Titans from the second Titans Tomorrow arc. But since you have Ystina, I'm guessing you already do?

I got all of those new volume 3 Teen Titans :XD:
But I'm not sure if I got all the issues from the previous volumes. But, as long there is Internet, I can alway search for unknown and obscure Titans :XD: (both heroines and villains)... :XD:
I guess there is only one of the Titans Tomorrow I haven't added to the list ;p

OK, well here's an idea: why not do a Valkyrie for M'gann's evil White Martian side?

Not sure... After all, it's hard to classify if they are both an unique being or two separated entities.

True. Well, the way I see it, all the other "future selves" were just continuations of the current Titans, that would continue to exist in some form or fashion in the future; however, future Miss Martian was killed and absorbed into present Miss Martian, which would indicate to me that there is a new future Miss Martian, one who carries an evil future self of her own.

Now it's sounding really philosophical :XD:

This really depends of the chain of thought you're following. There are two possibilities:
- One is to cause a time anomaly, causing a paradox. So the future is going to change to accommodate the event. For example, the Titans Tomorrow changed because an cosmic cataclysm happened, the Infinite Crisis. It was something not on their original timeline, so everything changed to allow it to continue existing. A good example of this line is the movie Butterfly Effect.
- Another one is sometimes you go back in time to avoid something, but in fact you're action was necessary or otherwise this specific event wouldn't had started. How could you avoid a event which never existed? A movie talking about it is The Time Machine (2002).
It might be a combination of both. I dunno.
Maybe the future Miss Martian already had this experience, and become whole in one point, like it's hinted by the end of the Titans Tomorrow...Today.

-Hnn... in which case, future M'gann never would've existed, so paradoxally, she wouldn' tstill be submerged in M'gann's subconcious. Her continued existence seems to be evidence of... crap, forgot where I was going with that. @_@
-Ah, true, but perhaps in the end of that arc, what we really see is the submerged future evil self asserting herself and takingn control of their shared body.

I love how both of us are actually taking this seriously. :XD:

That's called "Suspension of disbelief", a small cute thing that we are used to. In a very quick summary, it is the willingness of a person to accept as true the premises of a work of fiction, even if they are fantastic or impossible. So, basically every time we read a DC or a Marvel comic we are doing so ;p

I think this might be a story arc, about M'gann and her 'evil personality from the future'. Even as a subplot (like it is right now). I think before the Infinite Crisis the future could be both a closed cycle or a hyper-time (alternative timeline). Now the Infinite Crisis might have forced a paradox (future M'gann being killed by her past self) or created yet another timeline. Or even, if we think about when future M'gann says "Heh. Oh, M'gann... | I'm now remembering this moment. The monumental importance of it. | How it changes our lives forever"... She had already lived that, so it might be a closed cycle.

Oh damn, what a mess!
